Create an IG API key
In your IG account area, open API settings and generate a key. Name it Kairox or use a name that clearly identifies its purpose.

Connect IG Group to Kairox
IG Group uses an API key, identifier, and IG password to open a trading session. Kairox can use the demo or live environment according to the API URL you enter.

Prepare the account before creating the connection
Create or activate an API key from your IG account area.Decide whether this connection should use the demo or live API.Check that the instruments you want to trade are available on your IG account.
Step 1
Create access on IG Group
This part happens in the broker or platform interface. The goal is to create credentials dedicated to Kairox, with only the permissions needed for trading.
Choose the environment
For demo, use https://demo-api.ig.com/gateway/deal. For live, use the live URL provided by IG. Start with demo if you are testing the connection.
Prepare credentials
Kairox asks for the IG API key, IG password, and IG identifier. These values open an API session on IG.
Step 2
Create the connection in Kairox
Once access is ready, create the connection from the Kairox dashboard. The system will use it to prepare orders according to market, symbol, and risk limits.
Select IG Group
In Connect Brokers & Exchanges, choose financial, then IG Group.
Fill in the fields
Add the API Base URL if you want to force demo or live, then enter the API Key, IG Password, and IG Identifier.
Check epics
IG uses instrument identifiers called epics. Kairox maps some known symbols, but you must verify that the selected symbol exists on your account.

Create the connection
Connect IG Group from your dashboard
Create or check your keys, then add the connection in Kairox from the user workspace.
